Several Sensemakers are working on the Amsterdam Sounds Project to see if we can classify types of sound (scooters, drunken tourists) with AI. We work together here with SensingClues who uses smart sound recognition to combat poaching wildlife in Africa.
Apart from that we have several kits you can start your own sound projects with. For example :
- Snips development kit to make your own (privacy by design) voice assistant.
- Google AIY voice kit to hack
- PiSound high quality sound interface
- And some nice RaspberryPi’s donated to us by Speak-See (a very nice assistive technology initiative to help deaf and hard hearing people.)
